AP’s Prosperity Activists consist of a large pool of more than 120 established local and national entrepreneurs from various sectors for extending mentoring to startups and existing businesses under its business incubation and acceleration programs (i.e. Prosperity Cup and Accelerate Prosperity, respectively). All mentors are established local or national entrepreneurs with significant experience in founding a startup(s), and/ or leading a successful business.
Due to geographic inaccessibility in AKDN core geographies in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic, AP uses a hub-and-spoke model in which local mentors serve as the representatives of national mentors on the ground. This ensures both remote and in-person mentorship for entrepreneurs. In addition, local mentors benefit from this model by having access to tailored advice and networking for their own local business from national mentors.
